ProGlove´s Solution for Logistics

The Geis Group collaborates with ProGlove to improve matters on the factory floor by adding speed, extra efficiency, and more ergonomics. Together with ProGlove, the group has improved workplace effectiveness at their smart logistics warehouse that stores more than 350,000 automotive parts.

The Geis Group main goal was to bring the efficiency to the next level. In their logistics warehouse, where they handle more than 350,000 different automotive parts, sorting, issuing and clearing processes within needed to run smoothly. That's why they needed something more than a traditional barcode scanner.

ProGlove Solution

By connecting their workers to logistics data at the point of decision ProGlove simplifies the sorting, issuing and clearing processes within the Geis Group warehouse. The workers scan over 10,000 items per day, which equates to a tremendous boost in warehouse process efficiency, considering a saving of multiple seconds per scan. ProGlove also helped them in reducing the walking distances for workers and relieves them of their legacy scanner holsters.

The combined solution created by ProGlove and Picavi has been recently introduced by the Geis Group. Warehouse workers use Google Glass smart glasses and ProGlove wearable barcode scanners for a “pick-by-vision” solution designed by Picavi.


Workers are now more mobile – no need to return to a central terminal for orders. And they have both hands free to operate forklifts and handle materials.
